Character Design

I've had quite the journey in creating characters over the past two years, but I've found it's something I'm extremely interested in and only want to get better at! The first real project I did was trying to design a dating sim about the Greek gods as if they were modern day college students. I did heavy research into every characters back story and how their stories intertwined with other gods to create original designs for each character in the story. Below, there's a collection of designs showcasing each character and under it there will be the link to check out the draft of the game. Feel free to check it out! The game is called "Mount Olympus".

Cassandra - Trojan priestess

Eros - God of Love

Hyacinth - Divine Hero

Coronis - Thessalian Princess

Apollo - God of the Sun

Zeus - God of the Sky

Daphne - Forest Nymph

Artemis - Goddess of Hunting

My next venture in character design was just creating a story and designing the characters within it. I wanted to get more detailed with my character drawings themselves, and this small set of characters was for a story about a group of ghost hunters!

Samantha

The anxious medium who is convinced she can help souls cross over to the other side with the help of her best friends.

Lauren

The skeptic best friend who wants to support whatever her friends choose to do, but will always be sure to make a joke out of it.

Colin

The "trusty" camera man who just wants to help his friend's dreams come true (even if he's not very good at his job).

My latest project has by far been my favorite. This project consisted of me crafting a story about a coven of witches and designing the four sisters meant to save their coven from impending doom. Below you'll find the initial character designs, the character sheets, and the link to check out the document I created to really explain these ladies and their back story. Currently, I'm working on animating these characters to really bring them to life, so I've included a crude frame by frame animation I created just to experiment with different ways to animate.
